The Danger of Software Patents is a lecture on software patents and the dangers posed it given by Richard Stallman on many occasions in the early 2000s. This video is from a talk Stallman did at the University of Calgary, Canada, on May 18, 2005. It is about tow hours long.

The topics in this talk include myths about software patents, what to do patents (avoiding them, getting a license, getting the patent overturned) and the differences between software patents and patents that apply to physical engineering.
