Talk:Dissenter

Well, i like forks, so i decided i'd give Dissenter a try. I looked around for reviews and saw this one.

I went to the dissenter site, and it took about 8 seconds to download a deb package for the browser. Installation on my xubuntu 20.04 system seemed to be pretty routine sudo dpkg -i ~/deb/dissenter-browser_1.5.114_amd64.deb

The command exited with normal status (i.e., 0).

Then, i clicked on my menu, and started it from the gui.

And i'm using it right now to type up this comment.

So i can hardly say that i have tried it extensively, but on the other hand, it does work.

Note that i already have brave on my system, so perhaps i've avoided issues with prerequisites.

Anyhow, i don't have the slightest desire to start or continue an edit war, especially since i am as new to this site as i am to the dissenter browser.

However, so far (for the last 10 minutes, i guess) it seems to be ok.
