Sean M. Davis is a leading Xfce developer and the XUbuntu technical lead (man really in charge of that Ubuntu variant). Nobody knows what the M. stands for, it remains a mystery.

Sean is heavily involved with the Xfce search component Catfish and he will typically write blog posts about new versions.
