Drawing a strait line in GIMP is this easy:

  • Chose a brush and the size you'd like and draw a single dot where you'd like your line to begin.
  • Hold the shift key and move the mouse. You will see GIMP make a helpful line from the starting-point to where your line would end.
  • Keep holding shift and left-click on your mouse where you want your line to end. GIMP will draw a line in between. It's that easy.
