Patreon is an American crowdfunding platform based in San Francisco which can be used by content creators as a business tool for creating subscription based services. Subscribers who support content creators using Patreon are referred to as "patrons".

Feeds[edit]

Patreon charges creators between 5 and 12% of the monthly revenue generated by Patrons in addition to payment processing fees.

Censorship[edit]

"Patreon also just punishes people for political speech that they don't like, being tools of the technocratic oppressive state."

Luke Rudkowski of WeAreChange
in a YouTube rant December, 2019

Patreon is known to take anything a user of their platform has said anywhere, ever, into account. Some off-hand remark in an interview or a joke in some obscure corner of the Internet is enough to get banned from Patreon.
