Microsoft Office 2003 is a proprietary office suite from Microsoft designed for the operating system Windows XP. It was, as the name implies, released in 2003.

Linux compatibility[edit]

MS Office 2003 runs well on Linux program under Wine. It's functionality under Wine has been rated "Platinum".

Not free[edit]

It must be mentioned that Microsoft Office is non-free proprietary software. Microsoft Office is also rather outdated compared to modern free software office suits like LibreOffice. It is, however, still the best way to open .doc files from that era.
