Kang Hye Yeon (강혜연; also know simply as Hyeyeon; formerly known as Dami) is a South Korean singer, YouTuber and live-streamer. She is a former member of the girl groups BESTie and EXID.
Career[edit]
2012: EXID[edit]
Hye Yeon debuted as a member of the Korean pop group EXID using the stage-name Dami with EXIDs first single "Holla".
AB Entertainment announced that she was leaving EXID to focus on her studies on April 20th, 2018.
2013–2018: BESTie[edit]
Hue Yeon, along with the former EXID members Yuzi and Haeryung, formed the all-girl k-pop group BESTie, under YNB Entertainment, in 2013.
BESTie debuted with the single Pitapat on July 11th, 2013. The group was disbanded in 2018.
"The Unit" Reality Show[edit]
Hue Yeon joined the reality show "The Unit" as a contestant in October 2017. She participated in 13 episodes and was ranked 27 in the finale.
2018–present: Solo career[edit]
Hue Yeon left the label YNB Entertainment after BESTie was disbanded.
Star Ent. announced that Hye Yeon signed a contract with them on October 25th 2018. Hue Yeon debuted as a solo trot singer on October 31st 2018 with the mini album Great.

Hue Yeon releases excellent solo covers in her unique trot style on her YouTube channel at youtube.com/user/maurim1208 on a regular basis. She live-streams for several hours once a week on that channel.
