Imagination Technologies Group plc is a semiconductor design company owned by China through Canyon Bridge Capital Partners. It is headquartered in Hertfordshire, UK. Imagination is notable for their PowerVR graphics chips found on a lot of tablets, smartphones, single-board computers and things like that.
Linux Support[edit]
Imagination is not a very Linux-friendly company. It is possible to use their graphics card with a closed-source binary blob. There is no free software support.
Imagination does not submit patches to the Linux kernel or contribute to free software in any other way.
