Gnome-blog was a very simple Gnome panel blogging application written in python. It let you write pieces of text and post them to the mainstream blogging websites. It had no features beyond being able to use bold and italic text. And add links. There was no button for inserting images, bullets, text colors or anything like that. Development stalled in 2010 and the software died quietly into the night.
Gnome-blog wasn't exactly advanced but it had the basics: You could write something and post it to your blog.
It was a kind-of handy program if you wanted to write quick text-updates to your blog without doing more than pressing a button, add text and press another another button.
There is still a website about it at https://projects-old.gnome.org/gnome-blog/
