Tux-000e.png Tuxpuck is a really simple air hockey game featuring the Linux mascot Tux. It's not very fun and it opens a tiny fixed resolution window which can't be resized. The gameplay isn't all that exciting either. The last available version is from sometime around 2007.

Graphics and gameplay

The graphics isn't very good. And that is not the games biggest problem. The game starts at 640x480 and there is no way to change the resolution.

As the above screenshot indicates: You get a tiny stamp-sized game window on a modern monitor. Perhaps you could play the game using a magnifying glass but it's not worth it. The game really isn't very fun. It's a air-hockey game and a poor one at that.

Verdict and conclusion

The game hasn't been updated since 2007 and it shows. Actually, the game looks more like it was last updated in the 1990s.

TuxPuck is a utterly worthless piece of software. Installing and testing the game is a complete waste of time. There a lot of other games that are better if you really want to play as the Tux character. SuperTuxKart, SuperTux and Extreme Tux Racer are all better options (in that order).
