aterm - A very nice terminal emulator with transparency support as well as rxvt backwards compatibility

eterm - another fancy terminal emulator.

rxvt - A plain and very fast terminal emulator. Your choice for all old hardware.

- Looks good with: rxvt +sb -fg white -bg black -fn 6x10 -fb 6x10
wterm - rxvt patched for transparenty and a scrollbar.

gnome-terminal - The standard for Gnome. Very nice. Somewhat hard to configure the keys right.

multignometerm - A more advanced version of the Gnome Terminal

konsole - KDEs terminal emulator. Quite nice, but somewhat slow compared to rxvt. (part of kdebase)
