Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4 Released

Firefox 1.0.4 fixes two very critical security vulnerabilities. Windows and Linux users are strongly encouraged to upgrade as soon as possible.

The security issues announced Monday are serious enough to be worth the time it will take you to upgrade. There is nothing new in this release apart from the security fixes.

More than 53 million have downloaded Firefox and it is rapidly growing in popularity thanks to the many nice features like tabbed browsing and strong privacy protection. The browser is more secure than many alternatives, but like all software, it has some flaws. Bugs are flaws are generally quicker exposed as software gains a broader user base.

The security release comes only days after the developer teams became aware of the problems, the Mozilla Foundation have again proved that they take security seriously and have the ability handle security issues professionally.
