GNOME Ignoring its Own Users?

The Gnome user-interface has changed hugely from Gnome/GTK 1 to version 2 and not everybody is happy with the way it turned out.

Some articles have beep posted criticizing the Gnome project who they claim are ignoring feedback from the users. OSNews has an editorial about the lack of market reserach, Expoert-zone also has a good article titled The Riddle Of The Sphinx: An Editorial On OSS.

Open Source Software is having a huge success in getting a broad user base, it seems to fail in getting those users involved in evolving the software to the better.

Slashdot is a thread about the subject.
