Fedora Core 3 Test 2 announced

A new test-version of the upcoming Fedora Core 3 is released and available. It features the latest Linux desktops, KDE 3.3.0 and Gnome 2.8RC, and uses X.org X11 6.8.0 as X server.

The highlights are:

  • The device model now uses a dynamic /dev (provided by udev), a nice improvement compared to using a static /dev
  • Gnome 2.8 release candidate
  • KDE 3.3.0
  • X.org X11 6.8.0
  • More than hundred other programs have been updated to the latest version.

Fedora Core 3 Test 2 is available on a four-disc CD set.

This is a test release aimed at experienced users! Developers encourage users to report all problems at redhat bugzilla under product 'Fedora Core', release 'fc3test2'.
